    Cockylock : Hi - I'm asking this in advance as I can't make it at 9am. I have both oat and wheat bran and so far have been having only my daily portion of oat bran. What is the daily amount of wheat bran? Is it to be used instead of the oat bran or can I have it as well as the oat bran? Also, if there is anybody living in the Lisbon area of Portugal, where on earth do you get low fat cottage cheese? It is virtually impossible to find normal, let alone low fat. Also, can't get low at cream cheese so I'm really missing my cheese. Thanks!
    Moderatrice jemma : Hello and welcome to our live chat Cockylock! Wheat bran is not obligatory during the diet, it is only recommended in cases of constipation. You can have 1 TBS of it every day in addition to the daily portion of oat bran.I know that you can easily find low fat Cottage Cheese up to 2% fat in France, United Kingdom. I recommend you to search on the Internet in which store you can find it. Have a nice day!
    Richachauhan : Is it ok if I don't follow the diet properly for a week as I am traveling to a small town in India. I will rejoin it the moment I am back that is on the 2nd. For that week can I do the stabilization phase?
    Moderatrice jemma : Hello and welcome to our live chat Richachauhan! I really don't recommend you to not follow the diet correctly while you are away as you will ruin all the efforts you've already made. I recommend you to ask for grilled fish/meat and plain vegetables on PV days. If you can't find fat free dairy product you will have to do without it until the 2nd. Have a nice weekend!
    louhowell : I am happy with progress however I am not having the suggested menu. My meals today have been bran, eggs, cottage cheese, mince seasoned cooked. No sauces etc. Water tea coffee. Hope thats okay. Yesterday could not access internet so no contact. Do you think I'm going okay?
    Moderatrice jemma : Hello and welcome to our live chat louhowell! You can find the daily menus in the Secret Corner of your slimming apartment in your Motivation tips. If your Cottage Cheese is a low fat one up to 2% fat it is ok. Have a nice weekend!
    Monty : Hi! What can I do to get out of constipation phase? Even following the diet, the weight doesn't seem to go down. Thank you!
    Moderatrice Jemma : Welcome to our live chat Monty! I'm sorry to hear that. To battle against constipation and start losing weight again, You should really drink about 2 litres of fluids per day. We recommend drinking really cold, almost icy water. Please increase your oat bran intake to 3 tablespoons per day. You could also try increasing your daily exercise. You can have up to 200 grams of baked rhubarb to help to ease your constipation. You can also find Digestive Aid Fruit Squares which will help to ease constipation. You can also find shirataki noodles on our online shop that can help your bowel movement. If after having tried all of this, you are still constipated, I would advise you to go and see your local pharmacist so that he can provide you with the most appropriate laxative for you.     Vitalis : When is the best time to take my weight? Yesterday I filled my report before I sleep, and today morning I weighed and there's a difference!
    Moderatrice Jemma : Hi Vitalis your body's weight can vary from +/- up to 1.5kg throughout the day due to tiny changes going on in your body; we recommend you weight yourself in the morning, before eating, after having gone to the bathroom, and lightly clothed. Keep that weight in mind and fill out your report after your last meal of the evening.
    Volori25 : Hi, I've had a really successful time on the Dukan Diet and reached my target weight about 6 weeks ago. I do feel lost though on the stablization phase and have now started to put the pounds back on - I'm gutted! I don't want to end up back at my original weight, but at this rate I will be there very soon. What am I doing wrong?
    Moderatrice Jemma : Hi Volori25 and thank you for your question. Maintaining your true weight can be difficult. Are you following the 3 rules of the stabilisation phase? The rules are : 1 day a week PP only ( we recommend Thursday), never take the stairs and continue taking your 3 tbsp oat bran per day. Please avoid alcohol, sweets and fried food for a while. Limit your servings of starches / carbohydrates like pasta and rice to once a week. Try to increase your physical activity and you'll soon get back to your true weight. Enjoy your weekend!
    beauty96 : What kind of ice cream can I have? I did not reach my target for the attack phase, can I continue doing my attack program for one more day and then start the cruise phase?
    Moderatrice Jemma : Welcome to our live chat Beauty96! Know that your programme has a provisional schedule and so its ok if you did not meet the weight we had taken an educated guess upon for the attack phase. There is no need to do an extra attack day, the cruise phase is where the main weight loss will take place. Follow the programme as is.
    spencer85756 : I am just starting the diet today. I am working and my suggested menu today is quite time consuming to prepare. Is it possible to Swap certain items like, instead of having salmon parcels, have smoked salmon instead?
    Moderatrice Jemma : Hi spencer85756, and welcome aboard! I understand you may not always have the time to prepare our suggested menus. You can mix and match them to your liking as they are menu suggestions and in no case an obligation. Have a great day!

    Berrynnuts : I am getting headaches. Could this be due to so much protein? Also is there any risk of raised cholesterol on this diet? (I'm not having many eggs but do have prawns). Thank you
    Moderatrice Jemma : Hi Berrynnuts and welcome to our live chat! Proteins can cause headaches, I recommend you to drink up to 2L of fluids per day. If you don't eat more than 1 egg-yolk per day there is no risk of Cholesterol due to the diet. I recommend you to ask your GP for a complete blood test. Have a nice weekend!
