Dukan Superfoods you should be eating now !

The Dukan Diet 100 Natural Foods List includes a variety of superfoods!  Superfoods are a special category of foods found in nature that  are calorie-sparse and nutrient-dense, which means they pack a lot of punch for their weight as far as healthiness goes.

They are a great source of antioxidants and essential nutrients. Adding these foods to your diet will ensure you stay healthy on your journey to your True Weight!

1. Goji Berries—Goji berries are full of amino acids and essential minerals and are a nutrient dense superfood. Like many berries, Goji contain powerful antioxidants and help with energy while dieting. They are also great for your skin and can be an amazing addition to an anti-aging regimen .The linoleic acid that is found in Goji Berries promotes body fat loss and has been found to be 15 times more nutritional than spinach. Goji berries contain 18 different amino acids, eight of which are essential including isoleucine and tryptophan which helps to stimulate the body to produce more natural Human Growth Hormone. Include some Dukan Diet Goji Berries in your morning oat bran cereal or cup of tea for an immediate antioxidant boost!

2. Cocoa—all chocolate is made from Cacao Beans (also known as Cocoa Beans). After a cocoa bean has been fermented, roasted and ground, it is then pressed into cocoa powder. Cocoa has nearly twice the antioxidants of red wine and up to three times those found in green tea. Cocoa contains nutrients such as iron, calcium, phosphorus, potassium, and the vitamins A, B1, C, D, and E. Cocoa is the highest natural source of magnesium and a diet high in magnesium helps protect against the symptoms of hypertension, diabetes, heart disease and joint problems.  Cocoa helps with pre-menstrual tension—the drop in progesterone levels is mainly responsible for the mood swings associated with PMS and is significantly lessened by boosting magnesium in one's diet. Recent research shows that the flavonoids in cocoa actually improve the function of blood vessels. A Mayo Clinic report suggests that moderate amounts of cocoa may be used to reduce the risk of blood clots and platelet formation in the arteries that can lead to stroke - similar to low-dose aspirin.  Supplement your dishes Dukan Diet Organic Cocoa Powder for a magnesium boost!

3. Kale—like all types of cabbage, kale belongs to the cruciferous family. It is one of the most nutritious foods you can add from the 100 Natural Foods List. Kale is a great food because on top of its nutritional qualities, it is very filling and easy to prepare. It can be eaten raw or cooked and can be used in lots of different recipes including smoothies. Try baking kale chips or enjoy some raw in a salad on your Protein +Vegetable days.

4. Broccoli—Broccoli is an excellent weight loss tool. Crunchy, even when lightly steamed, this vegetable is a great addition to stir frys and salads on your Protein +Vegetable days. Studies show that the antioxidants indole-3-carbinol and sulforaphane help to detoxify the body and helps boost the immune system while supporting cardiovascular health and strong bones.

5.  Wild Alaskan Salmon—This amazing fish is a rich source of protein, vitamin D, selenium, B2, B3, B6, B12 and B3 and those all-important omega-3 fatty acids. Choose Wild Alaskan salmon, which routinely ranks low in contaminants and is higher in nutrients than those that are farm-raised.

6. Tomato—Tomatoes are high in Lycopene, a powerful antioxidant that gives them their deep red color and helps to protect against disease. Eating a single serving of tomatoes increases the lycopene level in your bloodstream. Your body also uses lycopene better when tomato products are cooked and prepared with a little fat such as olive oil or a nice piece of Wild Alaskan salmon. Complement your meals with our Dukan Diet Marinara Sauce while doing something good for your body!
