sonja : Hi Catherine! I'm sorry if I misundertand something but as far as I could see you are on stabilisation phase and you maintain your true weight really well. Don't worry if your weight fluctuates a bit during the week, as long as you follow your PP only Thursday and you eat as healthier as possible that's fine. Keep going and have a very nice evening!
Oasis6 : Hello. I started Attack a week after I had put my weight through on this system and unfortunately I put weight on. I was only given 3 days at the phase but have only got down to my origInal weight. Am I ok to continue with Attack? Although I am eating spring onions as well. I have also only lost 4lbs in 4 days - is this enough? Many thanks x
sonja : Hi Oasis! Actually there is no need to do some extra days of PP, just follow your programme and do increase your physical activity. Also during the first three days of your Cruise phase don't have any tolerated food and it will be fine. You lose weight correctly don't worry. As far as spring onions are concerned you can have have two small ones on your PP days and as much as you want during your PV days. Keep going!
amandajsouthwick : can I have soya milk instead of skimmed milk in my tea?
sonja : Hi Amanda! You can have one glass of soya milk per day as one tolerated if you are not intolerant to dairies. I also enjoy a splash of soy milk in my tea that's really nice! Enjoy!
amandajsouthwick : Can I continue taking my vitamins. (folic acid, multi B's, Vitamin E and multi vitamins.)

songul_89 : Hi - my weight has been stagnating for a few days now... i have been weighing 70g for a few days in a row. i don't know why ? i am not too constipated and i am not drinking excessive water- i cut down on the dukan tolerated food like the biscuits and oat bran bar... i have been working late hours- and so not enough exercise but is there a way of increasing my weight loss anyway>? any suggestions?
sonja : Hi Songul and welcome to the chat! Actually your stagnation is due to the lapses you have done these past few days. You really have to stop them to be able to lose weight correctly. cindyliu : My 11 year old boy cooked me a bed breakfast on Mother's day. He told me he googled the whole morning on the receipts. He knew I was on Dukan Diet, but he was not sure about the allowed food. He put the butter on toast before grill it, taste great! I know I should not eat bread, but this is his first time cooking for Mum, looked at his eyes, keenly staring at me with all the sparklings, together with my 6 year old boy excited about their "big mission", I ate the bread!!! I know this is not a good excuse, but this was what happened. Sorry!

Don't worry too much that's fine, I cannot imagine you refusing this nice breakfast your boys did so starting from tomorrow do increase your physical activity and do not eat any tolerated for about three days and it will be fine. sonja : Hi Nayla! Yes you can have some dessert as long as it's Dukan friendly one. Also remember not to eat more than your daily oat bran allowance. Bon appetit!
rconta : can I have 1-2 dry prunes and/or 1 spoonful linseed with my Quaker Oats?
sonja : Hi Rconta! I'm sorry but prunes are not allowed during the first two phases of your diet. Quaker oats are not allowed neither, only oat bran is allowed. For linseeds you can have one teaspoon of these per day but avoid them in case of stagnation. Keep going!

sonja : Hi Malina and welcome to the chat! You will stay on Cruise phase until you reach your true weight don't worry. To do so you just have to the question in your daily report asking if you want to stay on Cruise phase or not. Keep going!

You might suffer from water retention so what you are going to do is to avoid salty food (smoked food, preserves...) and do not drink more than 1.5 litres of fluids per day (preferably green tea and water). Ramanadh : I am in the consolidation phase & am allowed 220gms of starch per week, but I cannot have more than 150gms of cooked brown rice at a time. Can I split the 220gms & have it in 2 days

What you are going to do now is to really increase your physical activity and do not eat any tolerated food at all for about four days. Do not do any more lapses and it will be fine. mumofour : In the dukan life plan book there are recipes fro phase 3 that include coconut milk. Is this correct as I thought this would be too fatty? If it is correct should I buy the 'lighter' version? Only asking as I know that this diet/plan is evolving all the time and so things may have changed since the books printing . (It was brought and then we began coaching after reading about it in the book). If incorrect I will just use skimmed milk with coconut flavouring and maybe 1/2 tsp of cornflour to thicken. Would this be correct? Thanks for your help so far :)
sonja : Hi Mumofour! You can have low fat coconut milk on the celebration meal of your Consolidation phase. For other days you can do as you suggest with skimmed milk and flavouring (I usually do so with prawns and curry it's really nice!). Enjoy!
alwinder : Am I allowed edamame beans on my PV days? I'm sure that I read somewhere that these are allowed, but now cannot find the information anywhere. Also, I was allowed in my motivational tips to get some ryvita. I know this will slow my weight loss but for days when I'm REALLY struggling I would like to have this. Do I need to buy just regular ryvita (avoiding the ones with seeds etc) or can I buy another brand as long as the nutritional values are the same, and can i have a slice say once every couple of weeks or so? sonja : Hi Alwinder and welcome to the chat! I'm sorry but edamame beans are not allowed during your Cruise phase as these are considered as some starches. For ryvita to be really honest with you it would be better not to have it except when you are told to have some. If so you have to chose the seeds free one but you can have another brand as long as it has the same nutritional values. Keep going and have a very nice evening!

sonja : Hi Gabi and welcome to the chat! You can have these yogurts starting from your Cruise phase. Remember that these are tolerated food and that you cannot have more than two tolerated per day as said in the cupboard of your slimming apartment. Keep going!
gabismar : A couple of questions for my attack phase: my programme says I should do for 7 days - is that ok if I do it for 10 days? I have been really sick the day before starting the diet and keep feeling a bit poorly but I did not want to stop the diet and I started my attack phase. Is that ok?

sonja : Hi Poodle! Actually it is not possible to modify your true weight as this has been calculated according to your personal information and is the best for you. If you go too much under your true weight it will be difficult to consolidate it correctly. Keep going and have a nice evening!
malina72 : Hi, I am two Kg shy of my target, and it seems to me that I will need to shed some extra 4 kg, in order to feel satisfied with my transformation. On the other hand, in the last two days I seem to have lost a lot of my energy and motivation, and have even given in to temptation. So, I wonder if I can sustain an extended period of dieting at all.. What is my best option? 1) To extend the cruise phase or 2) To go through the consolidation and stabilzation phases and then start the programme again? Thank you Thanks,
sonja : Hi again Malina! Actually as I said to Poodle just before, it is not recommended to go really under your true weight. Then it can happen that some people still lose a couple of pounds on Consolidation phase when they really stick to their programme so the best for you is to move on Consolidation phase. Keep going!

pattimcgee : I always seem to miss the chat session so I just wanted to report this morning I weighed 177.5 Sunday May 13th 2012 Today was PP and I did very good. I did at one point crave something sweet or salty so I had two cups of tea with swetener in it. I exercised by walking for 30 minutes and will try and do that daily. I am thank ful for the dukan help. I am wondering thugh abt how I answer the activity part. I am arthritis and can not get up and down off the floor at all. maybe I could use some suggestions and clarifications to how I should be answering that part..thanks.

malina72_1 : Sonja, I have just discovered that I have eat oats incorrectly since the start of the diet, say two months ago! I was eating oat flakes, i.e. porridge, or oatmeal.. I now understand I can only eat oat bran. That my help me overcome my plateau!! : P Please can you clarify the role of wheat bran, can i complement the oat bran intake, and in what proportion?
