After 20 years of trying different diets I discovered the Dukan method!
My name is Chrystine and the Dukan method has really restored my faith in the word "diet". Thanks to this diet I now eat differently and in a way that combines both pleasure with results!
My Dukan story...
I came across the Dukan method diet by chance in May 2007.
By then I weighed over 20 stone, I absolutely had to do "one final diet again" because my doctor had found signs of diabetes in my last test results. I had also been suffering from high blood pressure since the birth of my son (in 1986) and various aches and pains (back, knees, etc....) this diet was an absolute necessity.
When it comes to diets - I think I've tried them all! A few diets did have some effect, others less or none at all. I tried all the different medicines or dietary aids on the market at the time not to mention the discomfort and side effects that came with them.
The problem I always had was with the stabilisation phase which nobody ever talks to you about and if there is no proper stabilization then you are bound to get the "yoyo" effect.
Once I had properly understood what the Dukan method was all about I straightaway realized that this was my new diet and definitely the last one I'd ever try.
Surfing on the Internet, I was lucky enough to come across Nana's blog and all her many recipes, I made loads of contacts and friends. I have found so much help and friendship on this forum that it has become a sort of "drug" for me and I have to get some every day without any restriction.
Today, I'm 48 and with my new figure I weigh 15 stone 3lbs. For my birthday last month, I was over the moon when my son organized this coaching for me as my birthday present. To get to my true weight I've still got to lose over 3 stone but I know that the invaluable advice I get every day from the chat sessions is going to help me reach my goal even more easily.
I've made considerable progress in looking after myself, I've cut down on all my medicines and I've regained my self confidence which has enabled me to try out new work opportunities after spending 27 years at home.
