The diet is so easy to follow, I don’t think of it as a diet now it’s just how I eat!

On August 2nd 2011 chatting to a colleague one day, she whispered “I’ve started the Dukan diet but don’t tell anybody”. As my business is in health and fitness, I thought that I knew (and had tried unsuccessfully) every diet out there but I had never heard of this one so I immediately checked online and signed up all in the name of research. The Dukan method immediately did not live up to my expectations - it worked. My Dukan story... So for as long as I can remember my weight has been a constant yo-yo battle and I would try to control it with diet and exercise but in the last 20 years it has relentlessly spiralled upwards reaching around 73 kgs and I had never been able to diet down to under 68kgs at any attempt – until Dukan. When I input my ideal weight on that first visit to Dukan’s website and saw my programme and date of achieving, I was just a little sceptical! Exactly on the date predicted I reached goal of 61.8kgs but I chose to continue to cruise to 60 kgs which I have maintained for the last 2 months on consolidation. I look and feel fantastic and have so much energy and passion– everyone notices!The diet is so easy to follow, I don’t think of it as a diet now it’s just how I eat – it’s my choice. I had forgotten how light 60kgs feels; I walk and move proudly and love how I look both naked and with clothes on! After 20 years of a loving marriage to the most wonderful man we are now more passionate than we have ever been, mainly because of the confidence I have in my new slim shape.

My favourite support Dukan food: hard to choose between Dukan fat free reduced cocoa and Oatbran My Dukan treat: My delicious chocolate mousse which I have every evening as my dessert and that totally satisfies my chocolate and sweet cravings. Just mix half a tub of fromage frais with a heaped teaspoon of Dukan fat reduced cocoa, vanilla essence and sweetener and mix well – delicious! My favourite form of exercise: TRX suspension training (uses bodyweight to strengthen and tone) The best compliment someone has paid me: New Years Eve, sitting on my husbands lap for a photo and he whispers “you are so good looking!” What keeps me going: 1) my husband’s appreciation and 2) I only have size 10 clothes in my wardrobe – I binned all of my 12’s and 14’s. The advice I would give to other Dukanians: Stay focused and don’t deviate from your daily instructions. |
