My name is Cindy, I'm 27 and I've lost 2 stone 5 lbs in 3 months! I hope that what I write, along with what many others have written too, will give you the inspiration you need to start your own wonderful tale...

My Dukan story

I came across the Dukan method totally by chance. I had started searching on the internet (I wasn't that keen!) for a miracle diet, just like everyone else.
I had convinced myself that I wasn't going to find any one single diet that would suit me and as it happened I saw all sorts of ridiculous ideas (magic soups, powder sachets...). I simply couldn't imagine doing a diet if I couldn't eat real food so I gave up the idea of dieting telling myself that after all I had always been plump and that was how I was meant to be...BIG MISTAKE!!!

x I found a message about a new dieting method, the one the famous nutritionist Pierre Dukan had developed.

The advice I'd give to others "Dukanians":
Trust in yourself and in this method. Follow your instructions and if you need help use the forum, you'll always find someone there who'll give you support.

I spent the day on the Internet reading what people had written about it, reading posts on various forums as if I was looking for the flaw in the diet. 
The only problem is that I couldn't find any flaw in this method. I couldn't just walk away and ignore it so I looked through the site and decided to calculate my true weight and there it was written in black and white on my weight curve: I was almost 2 ½ STONE OVERWEIGHT.
It was this that set me going; I read up what I needed to, went off to buy my food and then told my friends and family before starting the diet on Monday, January 13th 2009.
My goal was to get down to just under 9 ½ stone,  for a very important date: my dad was getting remarried and ... I DID IT!!! 
I've enjoyed discovering a new way of cooking!
The bloating has gone and the feeling of being weighed down by all the fats I used to use before. I've rediscovered a taste for lots of vegetables as well as all the great recipes available in the recipe book in the slimming apartment.
The daily gym exercises have become a ritual. 
Today I'm at the end of consolidation and my weight is between 8 stone 13 and 9 stone 1.
I am over the moon and very proud of myself and my size 10 skirts!
My friends and family still can't get over it. 
I have a lot more energy, I can stand the heat a lot better and at the end of the day I am much less tired. 
So a little advice: don't go looking for any flaws in this method, learn how to use it and you'll get the results!!! Love to everyone and good luck.
