I went from a size XXL to a size M!

I'm called Clive, I'll soon be 42 and I've just lost almost 4½ stone using the Dukan method...

My Dukan story...

Since I was a child I couldn't keep the pounds off; when I was 24 I did manage to lose almost 6 stone but then within 4 years I had put it all back on again. 
I have tried many different methods to get down to my true weight but I always found it impossible to keep off the weight I lost and stop a bit extra going on. So I just let myself be swamped by my pounds and soon I was back up to 17 stone 11lbs, I am 5 foot 8 inches tall, and gave up all idea of taking the situation in hand since it just seemed impossible to keep the weight off. 

One day a childhood friend gave me Pierre Dukan's book "The Dukan Diet", however, it took me over 4 years to get round to reading it, although I had seen with my friend what this diet can do as not only did he lose lots of weight but he stayed at his ideal weight without too much trouble even after a few years.

I can't really tell you as it is a bit too personal but I can tell you a day doesn't go by without me getting at least one really encouraging compliment

I never ever want to be like I used to be, both physically and mentally


The advice I'd give to others "Dukanians":
Avoid eating anything you're not supposed to. All you have to do is avoid temptation just a few minutes each day and you'll feel happy and satisfied the rest of the time.

I also saw another person aged over 50 with spectacular results who also had no difficulty keeping to their new weight. This was what decided it for me as I had finally found the long-term diet which doesn't just give you the solution for losing weight but also shows you how to stop it from ever going back on again.

So I made my mind up to start the Dukan method. Of course what helped me keep going was the woman in my life who very cleverly didn't force me to do anything but always made sure that we never ran out of the foods I was allowed to eat, cooked delicious Dukan recipes for me and even went as far as doing the diet with me for a week to better understand what I was going through. 
My children, friends and family have all been fantastic and have given me lots of encouragement and support whilst I was working away at the diet. 
It has taken a lot of courage, determination and discipline to get through this difficult period, but today I really want to share my experience and say that the discipline and energy you need for it are fuelled by all the past accumulated suffering and being "sick and tired" of your pounds.

I also drew strength and will power, encouraged both by the pounds I lost pounds as well as by the ones still left to lose. I didn't allow myself a single lapse "the sooner the better", this is also my new motto that I have made myself follow to improve my performance, to feel beyond reproach and get rid of any extra guilt, with my obesity I've had already had more than my fair share of guilt in the past! 

For me it feels like a real cure, a victory over a well known enemy: myself. 

I'd like to encourage anyone who thinks they have tried everything and has given up because of their bad experiences with regaining weight to have one last go because this diet includes the main phase i.e. consolidation, which people all too often do not insist upon. 
Clearly, a new diet is starting today as with the help of my coach I go into the consolidation phase for a period of almost 300 days, but I am convinced that I will stay at this new weight because my new lifestyle, regular exercise and "slimming habits" are now firmly established and 
I'd like to thank the coach in advance for his instructions that really do work and for this totally reliable method.
