Hi queenlove!
firstly Congratulations on your pregnancy!! There was a really good bit in the book about pregnancy and what to add to make it more suitable during pregnancy. I think for the time being full on strict Dukan is not for while pregnant, but you can still have a healthy lifestyle and do lots of walking and you might be surprised after the baby is born that its not that bad. I would say to read the book and find the bit about pregnancy to just remind yourself of what it says. The health of the baby is a bit more important right now than trying to lose weight. Keep in regular contact with your dr's visits too. I am sure they can advise on good eating habits for pregnancy. Cheers Gina Fighting the Fat!!! Posted by MsPink on 19/07/2010 14:27:02

Hi to you both, Yes you are right you should not continue the usual version of the diet as it is too strict on your nutrients, if you really want to continue you will need to adjust the diet to include more fruit and vegetables. As MsPink said you can see the book for advice but more importantly I would advise going to see your Doctor and ask him to recommend you a diet plan for your pregnancy.
Good luck!

Hi. I'm a vegetarian and a ceolic and am a bit confused at what things I can eat during the Attack phase. Is tofu ok to substitute for meat? Pretty much all I can eat (for this diet) is tofu, eggs or yoghurt - i live in Australia and we do not have 0% fat cottage cheese, quark or fromage frais. Also, I can not have the oat bran due to being a ceolic. Any other suggestions? Thank you. Lionep Posted by lionep on 19/07/2010 23:29:27

Hi lionep, Thanks for your questions. As a general rule which i think will help you, especially as you are vegetarian is that you can basically eat all dairy products that are under 3% fat, so you should be able to find some. You can eat silk tofu and also quorn unlimited. remember that as soon as you are on the cruise phase you will find it easier. You can ask about speciic foods in the specific foods section.
Enjoy!

Posted by hannahdukandiet on 13/07/2010 17:52:49 Couldn't find your answers in other sections of the forum? Feel free to ask them here. Hi there,
I've got a question regarding chewing gum to start with. How many are we allowed a day? which ones are recommended (I live in UK). How about the flavoured waters? Are they ok to dring instead of the mineral water? Is normal ham allowed (if got 2% fat per 100g)? I've been on the diet for almost a week now and haven't lost anything (I suppose I will loose some in some time so I'm being patient). Are baking flavouring ok to use? Ex. Dr Oetker almond (it contains some vegetable oil) and how much sweetener can be have daily? In most of your recipies you use vanilla essence, however the ones I've seen in shops contains sugar. Is is still ok?
Looking forward to hearing from you. Regards. Posted by paparara on 09/08/2010 12:17:49

Hi Papara,
Thank you for your questions. You can have sugar free chewing but becareful about acid in the stomach so maybe don't have more than three a day, as for drinks you can have any drink that is sugar free and no more than 1 calorie a glass. You are not allowed nuts or anything with sugar and do not have more than 8 doses of sweetener a day.
Fell free to message us from your slimming apartment for specific questions, thanks!

Hi, I've had great success with the diet to date - started out at 101.3kgs and inside 5 weeks I dropped to 91.7kgs........but; I recently flew to France for a month long vacation with my Family and have found it impossible to be as regimented with my programme as I was at home; additionally I've come away without scales to regularly check my weight. I've not binged or overdone anything really, but effectively I've embraced sugar and carbs a little more than I should have courtesy of the Christmas period in pastry loving France.......i don't feel like I've put the weight back on but no doubt it's there lurking in the shadows...... I'm thinking of doing a few days of PP to get myself back on track but am unsure if this is the right approach? I have another week to go on my holidays before flying back home to Australia.....any advice about the right approach right now?

Hi Geoffh I would tend not to worry about it while you are on holiday as sticking to pure protein when you say its difficult finding suitable food anyway. Also doing too many PP days to often actually affects the effectiveness of diet. I would advise you email the support team for proper advice when you return from holiday and you know what damage you have done weight wise. Tinker32 Posted by tinker32 on 29/12/2010 20:49:00

Good luck with your diet - believe me it does work but can get rather fustrating at times. Tinker32 Posted by tinker32 on 01/01/2011 21:54:25

Hi! I started off last week and have found the diet really morivating: I have lost 9lb in a week!! I have been weighing myself with a very old set of scales, so thought I'd treat myself to some new ones but they read a few pounds heavier than my old ones! Should I just keep using the old ones, or can I adjust my starting weight and weightloss so far, to reflect what the new scales would have said at the start of the diet (eg just add 6lb to all my readings so that my weight on the slimming apartment matches what the new scales say)? Bit confused and annoyed that my old scales were wrong!!! Posted by cathlwright on 26/02/2011 10:01:27

You could email the team and ask them to adjust your weight curve for you if you want. Good luck with your diet, stick to the rules it really does work.
