Hi Belinda.  I am not having that problem so really can't help.  I do not always fancy meat of course but with the range available it is easy to find something else.

Hi Belinda,

Why don't you try eating some more fish/seafood or tofu or Quorn? Keeping your diet as varied as possible is very important. Let us know how you get on and remember to take advantage of your pv days

I can't stand the thought of eating any more protein. I did protein Thursday yesterday and the thought of any food on offer turned my stomach. After the oat breakfast I tried ham, salmon, prawns, beef, egg, tuna and chicken throughout the day and the smell of the fridge this morning made me boak. I also worry about the health implications of so much protein and so few carbs for so many days.

Belinda there are many sources of protein, not just meat.  There is canned fish, fresh fish and shellfish, chicken and eggs.

If it is making you feel too full, perhaps you need to stop eating once your feel full.  This diet is changing your perception of how much you need to eat.  Most days I start with a fat free yoghurt and my oat bran mixed in.  Often I am not really hungry at lunch time so I may just have another yoghurt, then for dinner I will have a piece of steak, fish, chicken etc. (thats a PP day).  I try to eat what makes me satisfied and I try not to miss a meal (not good for the metabolism).  I sometimes make the Dukan bread and have a salmon sandwich or scrambled egg on toast.

Don't give up, this diet really works and eventually you will add in more foods.

So pleased to see this - I'm only three weeks through and so on cruise but am absolutely hating it now ... when I wake up in the morning and go to the fridge I just feel sick thinking about more protein .... lunch I can just about manage but dinner too ... I need some really quick and tasty food ideas - I find it so hard on the PP days - the PV ones are fine - I love salad and love vegetables so can just about get through those but the pp are an absolutely nightmare.  Seriously thinking of giving up and moving on to weight watchers ..

Hi Julie,

Have you had a look in your recipe book for different things to eat on pp days.  There are lots of recipes and ideas as, like you said, you can sometimes get a bit fed up of proteins.  I had a look andfound different things that made a nice change in the way you do your pp days

Good luck and don't give up.  You are doing so well.

take care
