I've had a quick search here and couldn't see anything about the M&S fat free, Vanilla, probiotic, Count On Us yogurts so I've started a new topic.

I've been eating these yogurts as they're really delicious but I'm concerned that they're too good to be true as I can see sugar, sweetner, fructose and sucralose in the added ingredients list?

I'm not a fan of yogurts so eating totally plain and greek won't be very appetising for me and I really like these. Below are the ingredients, are these a no go or am I ok to have just one a day?

Added ingredients:

Water
Milk protein
Fructose
Gelling Agent
Pectin (from fruit)
Rice Starch
Sugar
Flavouring
Sweetner
Sucralose
Lactic Acid
Vanilla bean seeds

Nutritional value per 100g:

Protein 4.4g
Carbohydrate 5.0g of which sugars 4.2g
Fat 0.2g of which saturates 0.1g
Fibre 0.5g Sodium 0.06g
Equivalent as salt 0.15g

Thanks

Coly

Sorry, these are a no go!

Nothing with an 'ose' except lactose, and def no sugar!

I do love natural yogurt, but I also do lots of variations, with sweetener and flavourings. Almond is yum, and my fave is a spoon of coffee dissolved and stirred into total fat free Greek yog with some sweetener. It tastes like some sort of coffee cream pudding rather than yogurt!

Good luck,

Molly

Thanks Molly

I did think it was too good to be true :( I have now swapped to Yeo Valley 0% Fat ones, these are the only ones I can find that seem suitable in my supermarket and come in small pots. I will add some sweetener as suggested as I'm not sure I'd be able to eat them plain.

Many thanks!

Yeo valley fat free natural yoghurts are fine but do not buy the vanilla one as that is not allowed. Tesco own label light greek natural yoghurt is fine too and cheaper than Yeo valley. You should also be able to get Total 0% yoghurt in supermarkets in both large and small tubs they are fine tooSmile

Hi,

Total 0% greek yogurt is on offer in tesco at only £2 for a big pot at the moment.

I find it is so much more luxurious than other yogurts and when you mixin a little flavouring and a little sweetener its so delicious.. like a super creamy dessert!

I didnt try it for ages but once I did try, it solved my sweet cravings.

x

SECONDED.

I totaly agree with MrsB82..    I have been messing about with this yoghurt and that yoghurt for two weeks and at one time the fridge was half full. Muller lights, organic this and that and its turns out most of them, while being labled at low fat or fat free contained sugar or fructose.  My wife was going dizzy trying to shop for me and get the right ones., and she ended up having to eat half of them herself rather than waste them.. (and she's not even that "fond" of yoghurt..

Now I just do as MrsB82 does.. Innocent   A big double Pot or Morrisons fat free natural yoghurt or 0% greek yoghurt and flavour it myself.. Tastes great and its there for use plain in sauces, galettes etc. too.

One pot (and a spare one) in the fridge and I have everything I need. The coffee one above sounds great, I havnt tried it yet but I have tried a bit of lemon juice and sweetner, and my own fav flav is almond & vanilla mixed..  Either way, slimming or not I'll never buy expensive fruit Muller corner type Yoghurts again, even if I'm not dieting. If you get a "good" quality fat free yoghurt by paying a bit more and flavour/sweeten it yourself to your own taste you dont need to pay top prices for Muller etc.. Yours taste better, as said by previous poster, like a super creamy dessert..

May I add my tuppence worth?

Dont buy Muller anyway!!!

Being a farmers wife, I have a BIG problem with Muller who are squeezing our dairy farmers out of business by paying them less for their milk than it costs to actually produce it - this has caused many to lose their farms.

On the up side, I also use Total 0% - its rich and creamy and I add different flavours to make it more fascinating.

Yikes - better go and check who makes it! Never thought of that, especially after my 'Boycott Muller' rant above!

Muller yoghurts etc are not allowed anyway so we are automatically 'boycotting' them as you commented.

Love the idea of the added coffee!  I also love cinnamon and sweetener in my total 0%.
