Hiya, I have been on Dukan for 19 days! It really is a pleasant diet as I can eat as much as I want of the allowed foods. That is a revolution. I have lost just over 4kg. Posted by comptines on 17/07/2010 00:00:58

Hi my name is Juliet and I live in Australia. I am getting to know this diet and am very enthusiastic about the support being offered and so far that has been good but the French English translations can be a bit confusing! I have been on the diet for too many days now and have had a number of lapses and have not progressed very well.... my own fault - It was my birthday last week and I was taken out to dinner a few times. But this week I am back on track and home to crack the last few kg. Over the years I have been on every diet imaginable and have never ever got to goal (not for more than one day that is!). With Dukan I was relieved that my true weight was 10 kg higher than a very successful diet I was on last year, but of course because that goal had been set so low I FAILED that diet (failed and failed and failed as with my diets). Now with a sensible goal it is within my grasp, and I am hoping that the consolidation and stabilisation section will keep me at a stable managable weight.

Hi everyone My name is Lima and I live in Sydney, NSW, Australia. I am on Day 29 of Cruise phase and, although I am doing OK, I sometimes feel discouraged. So far i have shed 7.5kg. But I am getting to know some of you through the Friday chat sessions and look forward to them. I'm pretty old for this kind of thing - will be 74 years at end of Cruise phase but I want to be in shape for my second trip to China to cover the China Silk Road. There is so much walking to be done on these tours, but this time I have persuaded my daughter to go with me. Last year at this time I found that it was pretty tough walking and climbing stairs whilst touring all the eastern cities in China. And then in January I became the oldest backpacker in the world and found I was doing a more intense tour in Peru - jungles, Machu Pichuu and other ancient monuments that were constructed with stairs going to heaven!! This time I want to be fit and hoping that by the end of the year I will have lost 20kg. My five children think I'm crazy! I still work four days a week (8-3) and mind three grandchildren from 3 - 7 pm on these days. Don't get much time for walking and I'm hesitant to go on my own these days as the best walks are around the cliffs of the eastern Sydney beaches. However, I am using Wii Fit Plus a lot and since starting the Dukan method have clocked up over 35 hours' worth of activity on it. At least that's better than nothing - I hope!! I look forward to some interesting exchanges on the Forum.

Hi all, I'm just starting my third week of the cruise stage and have lost 18lbs so far. Only another 20lbs or so to go! It's really suited me so far, but am finding it a tad pricey with all the meat, so I'm looking forward to seeing some recipes from all of you so I can get some good ideas for variation. Hi I'm Nicola I only had about 1 1/2 stone to lose so, 21lb. I did the attack phase for 5 day and then I have to say have probably done my own kind of next phase which probably involes 5 days veg/protein and 2 protein only. I lost 14lb in first 10 days alone and I have now lost a total of 17lb in 4 weeks. But have lost two dress sizes. I wish I had measured myself as I feel smaller than the scales say. Finding the diet pretty easy and I hope the cruise phase keeps the weight off. Keep going, it works Posted by ncrossby on 19/07/2010 13:47:31

Hi all, great to have somewhere like this where we can exchange ideas and information! I am from Melbourne, Australia and have been on Dukan for one week tonorrow. I started with 5 days of Attack and I must say, I thoroughly enjoyed crunching my crispy salad for lunch on Sunday..... I have resisted weighing myself as yet but will hop on the scales in the morning...I can feel a difference though already. After on week, I am loving this diet. It would have to be the easiest I have ever tried. I will admit that i had moments of temptation on Sunday, but I was strong and stuck to it. But this was the first time I felf like wavering. And for me, that was a huge acheivement. I am a yo yo dieter and have tried this and that and everything else and as soon as I tell myself "I can;t have it" I want it all the more. But with Dukan, I am feeling full and satisfied and well, the scales will tell all tomorrow. Can I ask about the Dukan bread that I saw some people mention? What is the recipe? Looking foward to chating with you all soon and good luck to everyone whos on this exciting journey with me

Hello fellow Dukan divas
I am almost finished my 5th week. I am 30lb lighter
I heard about this from a friend on a sunday night, was in the WHSmith Monday morning and hey presto been loving it since. My body just adores this diet. My moods are hugely improved, my periods are now light and a breeze and 1 day of pmt only ( instead of 2 weeks of hormonal hell), i sleep better and wake much earlier, i am confident about loosing this weight, i have no aspirations of failing. How can i? this is the diet of every girls dreams, monsieur Dukan is right, by loosing weight as quickly as we do, we are even more motivated to continue. I have tried many diets just like the rest of you. I would loose the initial 10lb, then fall off the wagon. I would survive the 3 week mark or possibly 4, but was bored and very very discouraged . On Dukan, i did 10 days of Attack, because i was able to and felt no pressure or hardship to maintain 10 days. Many of you will do 2-10 days. In the Attack phase i lost 12lb, you could have knocked me over with a stick, i COULDN'T believe my eyes. Thats the same as doing weight watchers for 2 months!!!! ( well for me anyway) I use my bran for porridge in the morning, i like to eat it a little runny, so make it in micro and let it get thick and gluppy, then after 1 min on full, i take it out, add more milk stir it, let it sit 1 min add a dash more milk and it has doubled in size and is a perfect size breakfast. i have a cuppa tea and follow 30 mins later with a pint of water. i am then set for the morning. Lunch i eat sliced chick roll. ( Lidle £1.39 a pack, and it has a fresh herb crust) no fat and handbag friendly. I live on Dr Oetker, Onken Vanilla yogs. £2.00 for two very large tubs. I eat a tub with most meals so i don't feel like i am missing out on sweet things. Dinner would be steamed salmon and prawns or seafood in foil with raw ginger/garlic/corriander/soy sauce and tbs dry wine, wrap in 2 sheets of foil and cook for 20 mins, and gobble the lot up. I drink about 2 litres and some days if hot upto 4. At present i have not even started the walking bit as i fly around most days, but the moment i stop loosing i will be out pounding the pavements.
I bought my first blouse on Friday. i was expecting to be a 20 in the bust ( most of my tops are 22, due to big boobs) so you can imagine my utter shock when i tried on an 18 and it was TOO BIG!! I am now in a size 16, haven't been there in 6 years.
My friend and mum and dad and brother are now all on this diet. They tell me i am their inspiration. What a fabulous thing to be told by those around you that care. So it can only inspire me to inspire them. so to you my dear Dukan diva's, We are a new breed of ladies/gentlemen who are now leading the way to a happy healthy and sensible life styles. For we WILL be the ones that answer " oh i just did the dukan to loose weight" and people will wonder ... who, what where and how. I hope that the rest of you, like myself, find this diet easy, enjoyable, relaxing and giving you the daily confidence of seeing your weight go down and you scales plummet. I fell off the wagon this weekend. Until now i have not strayed, not wanted or needed to stray. but stray i did. 4 G&T's on Friday followed by a shish kebab. Well the G&T left me bandy, i obviously can no longer hold my alcohol. The kebab is breast of chicken and griddled, so no fat on it and it came with salad. so again not bad, BUT.... i ate the pitta pocket. SAt night i had another 3 G&T's, took four but i was done, i could take no more. And I CAN DRINK WITH THE BEST OF THEM. It was a huge buffet style eve , with hog roast and desserts and booze all over the place. BUT at no point did i want any of it. I did not crave, not pine or feel sad. I enjoyed my evening and knew that while all the folks around me stuffed all that amazingly calorific food into their bodies i was going to be another few lb lighter the following day. And i was , i lost another 2lb over the weekend even tho i drank. I should mention i had a horrid hangover and it now confirms me to thinking i won't worry about having a drink next time, i felt green all day.
I look forward to reading about all of you and am excited that we are all on the same journey together.
Much love MMxxx

Hello folks. I'm Debbie, 47, married with 2 grown up children. I started this diet on 2nd June, did 6 days on attack and have been on cruise since. My start weight was 19st 10lb (276lb or 125.2 kg) As of this morning I weight 17st 9lb (247lb or 112kg) giving a loss of 2st 1lb (29lb or 13.3kg) in 7 weeks. My weight loss has steadied down to 2-3lb a week & I am finding it so easy!! I have no craving s and chocolate, sweets, icecream, biscuits (you get the drift!) don't interest me and I don't miss them either. My true weight is 12st 12lb ( 180lb or 81.6kg) so I have a long way to go but for the first time in 20years I actually feel as though I can accomplish my goal - being slim, fit and above all, healthy. I would seriously encourage anyone with a long term weight problem to start the Dukan regime, I think it's a life saver. Posted by dbdxn2 on 19/07/2010 16:04:32

Hi everyone. I started the diet when I saw it in Daily Mail in May & then bought the book. I lost 1.5 stone & was thrilled. Then I went on holiday & when I got back there was so much going on that it has been hit & miss since. I am starting again today with renewed enthusiasm. The main thing I noticed was that even though I didn't keep strictly to the diet for about a month, I didn't put much weight on again. I am back to pre- holiday weight & raring to go now. This diet is so easy & so motivating & I have tried ALL the others. I tell everyone about it. This one WORKS!! Hx Posted by GrandmaH on 19/07/2010 16:13:00

Hi! My name is Katya , I do live in Edinburgh (UK) but originally from Russia (with love):)) First heard about this diet from my friend at work & decided to try to get rid of 10 kg which I gained in a last year... Cecilia (colleague) was my true inspiration I was watching her melting away ...I stayed on Attack phase for 7 days (instead of recommended 2) as it was pretty easy for me and have lost 4 kg straight away!!! Could not believe how easy that was! Now I am on Cruise and lost another 1 kg so far. Due to fit my old wardrobe in beginning of September! Looking forward!!! Good luck to everyone & hope that all of us are going to reach great results, look amazing & feel great!!!

Hi, I'm Mike. Live in Exeter, United Kingdom. I started my diet at the middle of March this year, and I am very happy. So far I lost 25kg ( 55 lbs ), and still loosing ! I do not go exactly with Duncan diet, and still loosing 2 lbs / week. I was never addicted to sugar and fat, so It's easy for me to be vegetables , fruits and meat only :) I have icecreams, some light snacks from time to time but really can live without them.
The most important thing : this diet works !!!
